Default jacked up and good to go with my 125g

I have live sand from an established tank....Live rock complete with coraline algea and other critters from an established tank....Protien skimmer, sump, overflows....Things are getting exciting...I still have no clue what i am doing, but HEY...it is fun.

It has been 24 hours since the sand has been added and the dust cloud is not disapaited just yet so I added a bag of activated charcoal to help clear it up.

How long before I do my first series of nitrite/nitrate/Ph ect...tests... How long before my first water change? I was told a small change once per week for a month then gradually move it to once every 4-6 weeks.

Any other advice for my first salt water tank?

    define "a bag"

You shouldn't need more than a cup or two. Check the levels tomorrow!ยก I wouldn't add fish until your levels read 0 all week.
