    Exclamation emerald crab

    also got one of these on my trip a few dasy ago...

    i heard there reef safe, unless you dont feed them.. then they will turn to coral and or fish? i noticed he has been on my cup coral 2 nights in a row... looks like hes sorta picking at it...

    im going to try to give him some frozen bine tomorrow, but hes really shy and alwase runs from my hand.

    any bad experiences yall have had from one of these?

    make sure you dont have one of those fuzzy crabs hiding in the rock. I have had an emerald crab for a while and never seen it eat anything.

    I had one emerald crab who turned into a nightmare a few years back. Little punk set up shop right below my RBTA, and I ended with with a lyretailed maroon clown because of it. Needless to say, I pulled him out and he was subsequently made into trigger chow.

    I don't care for them, mainly because they're just stupid. They pick at corals, but I don't believe they mean to. All the ones I've had will eventually perch on a rock reaching up grabbing whatever that big claw can get a hold of. Plenty of times I've watched as they grab a fist full of algae in one claw and a wad of zoanthid flesh in the other.
