So I get up to go to work this morning and guess what I find? My car is braced on wood blocks! Someone took my tires. Needless to say I've been in a pretty bad mood today

that sucks! I had an integra with 15k of work done to it get stolen during broad daylight, so I know that feeling of disbelief. Stupid kids.

Im a firm believer in wheel locks. $20 to protect $1000? No brainer. I learned the hard way also.
Man horrible way to start a day. Id be so P*ssed off. I to have had my windows broken and and all my stero equipment stolen, but at least I could drive me car. What sucks is you file a police report but they never catch anyone; so whats the point. Wheel locks do come in handy as mentioned above.

Sorry to hear it I guess most of have been there I have had a few systems stolen my self now I dont even try lol I am good with a cheap $100 cd player.
Yea its just pretty pathetic of someone to go and take your tires. As soon as everything is straightened out I will be getting some wheel locks.

That sucks. I'd be soooo ****ed off I'd probably hurt the first person I'd see. My gps was stolen earlier this year. They busted out the window and grabbed it. Left the ipod and other valuable I had in the center console and glove box.
My car stereo was stolen last week as well. Six other cars were hit as well in the streets around us. I had drinks with a friend who works on the tourism board of San Antonio and he told me that we have an epidemic of car break ins here and the police are keenly aware of it.

I've had a truck with an alarm get broken into twice. First time was an my old apartment and they stole my CD changer. Think that was someone or a friend of someone who had done some work on my truck and knew my address. Second time they stole my radar detector and sunglasses in broad day light, two spaces over from the entrance to an office building. I've also had my truck vandalized in a grocery store parking lot with people coming and going, no one reported it. Not talking about a little scratch and run, talking slashing all 4 tires, scracthing every panel, and breaking the wipers and antenna, all while the alarm was going off! Thieves don't care and people just don't pay attention to car alarms unless it's theirs that is going off! From my experiences, when you call the police, it's just an inconvenience to them to have to fill out paperwork and your insurance will pay for it so why bother. Unless they get lucky and roll up on someone in the act, they can't do much.
