    Default New Rusty Angel

hey guys, i have been looking at this Rusty Angel at my local LFS and was wondering if anyone had any experience with these little guys. i really like the angels, pygmies in particular. but i have had two potter's pygmies die on me. i can't be throwing money away like that anymore. so anyway if anyone has any info on these please let me know. thanx.

What size tank do you have and what are your water perameters?

If you had both Angels at the same time, they probably beat each other to death. 20g is a little too small for 2 Angels.

I know you like Angels, but be careful brother, they need at least 30g.

I've had a rusty in the past lived about 2 or 3 years till I went out of town and had a fish, dog, and cat sitter that didn’t do the best job with the fish and I lost several. Other than that one incident mine was very passive and was in there with 2 other angles that I still have.

i know, i'm obsessed...but, i had them at different times. remember my tank was still new. don't think i had enough growth in the tank to support either one. but now my tank is full of life. especially the pods...i think i can handle one small angel. once it gets larger i would be moving him to a larger tank. as for the info i was looking for, i was interested in feeding regimens and compatability more than anything. i have 2 damsels and 2 citron gobies. oh and a sand-sifter. i don't have much else, a few mushrooms, a candy coral and a nuke acan. thats it.

mine is trained on aquadine with a phyto dip and a few meaty treats. i believe that if you keep them fat and happy they will not nip at most things in your tanks. but if you got some pricey sps's or whatever maybe you shouldn't chance it...thats jmho.

and once i get a camera that can take pics of my tank i will post. spent all day at best buy trying to find a good one...
