Thread: Leaking, but not tank

    Default Leaking, but not tank

I plumbed together my tanks and for some reason this started today. I put the feed to the frag tank in a HOB fuge with 3 chambers. Anyway, the tube sits at the bottom of the fuge, and the air bubbles explode up at random when the overflow drain gurgles real loud. It splashes water out into the back of the stand and I loose water and wet the carpet up . How can I fix this?

Use T-fitting at the end to divide the water side way instead of going straight down.
Reefing is just like cooking, all the ingredients have to be just right , except you don't have to bring the water to a BOIL...

You need a way to get the drain to quit sucking down so much air. Typically this is done with a durso (google it) and if that's still too loud/too much air, put a thin piece of hose down the durso to allow it to burp.

Anyone else wanna imput? I like both ideas, not sure what to try. I did have a airline tube burping the overflow.

Still big burps in it with two burp lines. More? I made two holes at the bottom of the downflow tube, and it helps, but not enough.
