a google search of your error code states its a toshiba error code, could mean the recovery cd is damaged, or the hard drive is corrupt. Since you were having blue screens with the operating system, it is likely your hard drive has failed. My recommendation would be to head down to besty buy or circuit city and buy a new hard drive. both of these places will install it for you if you don't want to do it yourself (for a fee, $39 at bestbuy) , but it is pretty easy. on toshiba's just look on the back of the laptop, you should see a small access panel rougly the size of the laptop hard drive, unscrew and open the panel and simple replace the hard drive. Some of the older laptops require you to remove the keyboard to access the hard drive, thank god they stopped doing that. anywho, if that doesn't solve your probelm then it isn't the hard drive, then you can return it to the store you bought it from, minus install fees if you had them do it for you, then you will need to contact toshiba for a replacement install disc, they will likely you charge you a fee. regarding data on the hard drive, if you get a new hard drive and that solves the problem then you can buy the external enclosure kit for your old hard drive, if you place the hard drive in a freezer ziplock bag, remove as much air from it as you can, and put it in the freezer for about 3 hours or so, then immediately put it in the enclosure kit you might keep it alive long enough to remove some data, but at best dont' expect more than about 20 minutes of running time, and it may not work at all, just depends on the extent of the failure and specifically what went wrong inside the drive. hope this helps, and good luck!
