I was just about to pay for a charter membership, but it appears that it will only be good for a couple of more months. If that's the case, shouldn't I just wait until January?

Its good for a year from when you sign up.

Payment sent. Only problem is I wasn't thinking about it, and I forgot to add a note stating which MAAST member I am (it's different than my paypal account name).

Well this site and one of the members here in particular have been very helpful to me. Paying $25 to support the site is the least I could do!!
