    Default Mushroom's preferences

I have two different sets of mushrooms. A tonga rock with purple shrooms (attached by some form of adhesive). They used to be happy. Now they stay half shrivled up as if they go south or turn to happy any time. Problem is they don't. They are positioned bottom middle in direct light and get direct current when the deflector rolls around.

My green striped mushroom on the other hand is an oddity. He goes attached himself to the edge of a rock. When he wants to, he disappears into the crevice and won't be seen for days. And when he does come out he is always shaded at the very top of the tank. He also looks completely happy, healty and has an offspring directly in front of him!

Any thought or ideas on ways to get the purples happy ?

14 gal biocube/ stock everything except 295 gph maxijet with a deflector added on.

Hmm i have same bio with alot of mushrooms, most of my mushrooms are shaded and seem to stretch out for light but when in direct light they seem to not open up as much. Also maybee your flow is a little to much for them, I havent upgraded mine at all but i want to. Make sure you check your water levels and temps just to make sure its not that.

My purple and blue mushrooms (actinodiscus, I think) really took off when I moved them into lower light and lower flow. They don't color up quite as much in lower light, but they've definitely had better expansion and reproduced faster.
