    Default New Tank/Bar plans

This may not actually get started untill after Christmas but maybe earlier.

If you have been to my home when you enter my home you enter a formal living room that for the most part has never been used the 2 years my wife and I have been in the house.

I have decided to turn it into a Bar/game room with a 40g breeder aquarium. I quickly drew up a front view, but obviusly there will be much more detail- bar stools, thiking of going with a large custom black cutting board (starboard) as the bar top. Let me know what you think and give me some ideas. There will be space behind the bar at least 3ft for a Sump(will be in bar under tank) small fridge maybe a keg fridge etc.... The open window on the bar with be lit by light so you can see the bottles and glasses.

Now that im looking at it. I may make the window a little shorter and have my keg fridge under there and have it plumbed through the bar top with my favorite beer Dispenser.

LOL, ive mentioned more about the bar and beer itself than the tank.

    Tank plans

Simple but effective ( may be a animal specific tank)
Maybe Clams only or anemone only

    RR 40g breeder
30g sump/fuge with the works skimmer etc
    150w MH HQI pendant light

Sounds awesome. I only have a wooden bar from World Market. Maybe I can put an 8 gallon Biocube on it

Sounds like a fun project. If you go with the thin wire lights for the bar, I would do the same for the tank. Something really sleek. Open top tank with a nice pendant would look really nice, especially for clams.

Yeah defintaley want pendants all the way across the bar. To bad they do not make a MH pendant with decorative glass.

Make sure you leave room on the bar for a bartop arcade machine.

The Solana HQI Pendants look pretty decorative. I'd go with one of those.
