This Scares Me to Death!

Britain has adopted sharia law (if you don't know what this, I HIGHLY suggest you find it). What in the world are they thinking? This quite easing into control is much scarier to me than terrorists with bombs!!!

Let's reflect on life and freedoms in countries with sharia law and those without? Okay, so, what do you want? I think if I lived in Britain I would be migrating to another country!!

Umm yea, that pretty crazy. I find it odd that the British government just sorta stepped aside to alow a seperate people (if you will) govern and make there own laws. I personally love the UK and hope to one day possibly own a home there. We can only sit and watch to see what comes of this...

So you know Canada also adopted Sharia law and nothing to negative has really happened that I know of.

Well, it doesn't surprise me that they did, but it also doesn't have near the Muslim population that Britain does either. I think the long term impact will be much greater than the near term (kind of like a frog in boiling water). For those not worried, I wonder how much of Islamic history they know and understand. Some reading on societies dominated by Islamic law will bring some serious concern. I know I would relocate ASAP if America ever adopted it.

Im sure it will stir up a few issues with the non-islamic people of the Britain. I wonder, Can it be taken away or thrown out if it causes issues or in Britain going to have to stick with it forever. I doubt America would ever allow this sorta of self governement. We have freedoms and rights, but nothing as bold as governing our selves.

Do you have to voluntarily submit your case to the sharia court? What if they decide to try non-muslims? Imagine if you get into a lawsuit and the other person files it in sharia court. Will you have to go? I took a class in Islamic civilization and sharia law has no oversight. It's basically a bunch of men deciding what the Koran says regarding the case and giving judgments. It is entirely up to an individuals interpretation of the scripture. Separation of church and state should prevent this from happening in our country.

Think about how many "honor" killings in Britain have already occurred and the like. If you are a woman in Islam, you are basically for having babies. Has anyone ever read the book or seen the movie Kiterunner?

Basically, women are for having babies and boys are for fun (if you get my drift). That is the irony of Al Queada executing women for adultery (ever wonder where the men are?). They are taking young boys for their pleasure and murdering women. Very twisted.

For the Muslims this is obviously a step back. Although if you live there and are muslim do you have a choice to be under Sharia law or can you still be goverend by the british governement/laws if you choose.
