We are a quickly expanding aquarium and pond installation and maintenance company looking to add a quality individual to our team. We design, build, install and service quality custom marine aquarium displays throughout Austin and the surrounding areas. Our tanks, ponds, and water features are in both commercial and residential settings.

We currently have an opening for a part-time aquarium service technician. We are looking for responsible, mature candidates willing to work hard and learn a unique trade. We offer a distinctive work environment, paid training, and excellent compensation. Flexible weekday scheduling with some evenings and/or weekends possible. Position offers great potential for the right candidate.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities include regular maintenance, installation, and servicing of fresh and saltwater aquariums and ponds in homes and offices. This includes, but is not limited to:

•Ability to change large amounts of aquarium water (equipment provided)
•Ability to effectively clean organic debris/waste out of aquariums & ponds
•Detect and resolve aquarium & pond mechanical & biological problems quickly and efficiently
•The mechanical maintenance of various aquarium & pond equipment
•Monitoring the health of fish and plant life
•Testing/maintaining proper water parameters of fresh and saltwater aquariums
•The installation of commercial or residential aquariums and ponds
•Establish and maintain professional service relationships with clients
•Drive to various locations in Austin and surrounding areas

Other duties may include assisting with fish transport, installations/special projects, and other tasks as needed.

Required qualifications:

Must be extremely reliable and responsible and enjoy working with animals as well as people. Ability to follow directions, work both independently and with others, pay attention to detail, keep careful records, and recognize potential problems and call them to the attention of others. Must be able to provide aquarium service in a prompt, polite manner. Flexibility to respond to field emergency calls a must. Must be able to lift upwards of 50 pounds. Reliable, functional transportation required and you must have good driving record.


Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of Freshwater and Saltwater Aquariums preferred but will train right candidate. Knowledge and experience with fish keeping and/or an interest in marine biology is a plus. Clean professional appearance and demeanor expected. Ownership of insured truck or van preferred.
