I would have to HIGHLY recommend River City Aquatics. I'm new to salt water tanks and they basically took my hand and lead me through it all. I have a beautiful new 29g BC (6 weeks old) and things are going great. I couldn't have done it without them. Big shout out to Carlos,Misty, and Jake...thanks guys!! I've been to most of the LFS's in town and have basically been ignored...I guess I don't look like someone who has lots of money. They have no idea how wrong they are!!!

Big 3
I have been to what I consider the Big 3 in Austin; Aquadome, Aquatek, and River City and though I think they are all fine, I would recommend going to River City if you are in the North Part of town.
Always have nice livestock and equipment and owner/staff (Carlos, Jake, and Misty) are always available with good advice/information.
I guess I'm a little biased since they are only 2 miles down the road from my house. I think they get new fish in on Tuesdays...but call them to make sure.

I would have said Aquatek until I called them yesterday and asked for some advice for some frags that I bought from them and the guy said "Is there anything I can help you with because it sounds like I can't give you any advice" when all I was doing was asking for advice from them. Needless to say, I won't ever buy anything from there again. Gary, Terry, and Hunter are always nice to me when I go to Aquadome.

Austin Aqua Farms is really great. They are located in Taylor, but it is well worth the drive. I believe that you have to call and make an appointment first. They have several exotic corals that you won't find in most stores.
