    Default i lost my clams

what could have happened? there is more than enough light and the levels are right. but the wierd thing is i lost them at the same time... i did notice something wierd to day though. a little worm like tentacle pinkish with white fur. Could that have done something to my clams??

Default can something happen to my existing fish

i just figured that since it fogged up the water a little something might happen to our fish. i picked it all up but still worried and hoping they will be ok.

i would do a large water change (about 30% ), set your skimmer to skim wet for a couple of days and run some fresh carbon just to make sure. the worm you saw was a bristle worm, and it was likely there cleaning up the dead or dying matter of the clam. if they both went at the same time, it could have been a water parameter or a disease - hard to say for sure.

what kind of clam was it? If it was a crocea they prefer to be on a rock lower in the tank. They attach there foot to the rock. Just a note if you notice the foot isnt attached then something could be stressing the clam out.

Could have also been pyramid snails or perhap's whelks. They both are known killers of clams and could have hitchhiked in.

    Cheers,
