    Default Sand and Salt

Got Water! Just add salt and sand. What brand and what is a good price for both. Where is the best place to get it (live NE SA closer to New Braunfels) I recall hearing that some one had ordered a bulk shipment of salt.

B&B and AD carry lots of sand/salt. they are near 281 and 1604, so probably the closest to ya.

There's a Polly's Pet Shop on Seguin Ave and IH35

Darby's off of 35 in NB. There are 20 different types of substrate to put in your tank and along with it 20 different prices. Take your time spend a Saturday driving SA and looking for exactly what you want, otherwise you might end up doing it twice.

Thats the same thing I did when I got into the hobby. I drove around and looked and researched what I was looking for. But Darby's is a good recommendation and so is Aquarium Designs. Both are very knowledgeable.

Its not a popular answer, but Petsmart has sugar sized Aragonite at $19 for 30 pound bags. Thats cheaper than numerous other places in SA that I have checked out.
