Have you looked around online to see if you can fix it yourself? There are a few sites that help troubleshoot problems and you can buy the parts online or in town. Some of the appliance repair companies are major rip-offs. I replaced a $9 or so part (thermostat in the freezer) myself after a repair company wanted to charged me over $160. My ex was in a rush when her washer mashine stopped working and she paid some company to come out and fix it for $200. After I looked around online, I found it was a normal wear and tear item that we could have replaced for like $15. There are a few appliance parts places in town, the last one I used was over off of Broadway and 410.

There is a place on Nakoma called 1st Parts Source (used to be Parts Plus or something else)They have parts for most washers, dryers and fridges.Google refridgerator repairs, there are abunch of site that can help troubleshoot problem and you can search for parts.Write down part # and check with 1st Parts Source to see if cheaper than online(don't forget to add shipping cost to online part)
To all Military.....Thank you for your service
thanks chris. my problem is my wife. when i say im gonna fix something she says oh ok how much is it gonna cost to fix what u mess up. (well not in those nice words)so i try to go the easy route. n right now shes home on vacation so shes always around i would think she wants alone time nope i was wrong again on that one. i think its the fan that quit so i will trouble shot maybe tomorrow while she shops.
Yeah, I can understand that. I tend to be better at tearing things apart than I am putting it back together. I always catch grief from my family any time I start any kind of home repair work on my own!
When my fridge was acting up, the fridge wasn't getting cold. I found the back of the freezer frozen up. I looked online and narrowed it down to I think a defrost thermostat/switch that got stuck. It froze up so bad it blocked the cold air from moving down into the fridge. I had to remove the icemaker to get the back cover off and get to the part, but it ended up being a pretty easy repair. Sucks not having a cold fridge though!
