skimmer problem
Recently I came home and found some water had leaked out of my sump and onto the floor. Apparently the foam sleeve on my G2 skimmer slid down and caused splashing which made it out of the cabinet. I tried to attach the gate valve mod but it was too big for the sump. Since my birthday is coming up I might ask for a new skimmer. Can you guys recommend a good skimmer with these parameters. 1. Must have a return that at least has an elbow to prevent splashing. 2. Have a footprint of no more than 12" x 12" and work at the depth of 8".

The octopus sill has the same style return. The water comes out of a pipe that is pointing straight up and comes down on a sponge. The sponge is supposed to diffuse the micro bubbles.
