    Default Blue Hippo feeding?

Just picked up a small blue hippo tang from AD and this is my first tang. I got some of the dry seaweed/nori. My question is how often & how long should I clip a piece of it in the tank? Whats the overall recommended feeding for these fish? I have frozen brine cubes, flake and the nori.

i fed mine spirulina brine and gave him the dry seaweed always..like 2 times a day..whole cubes each time..idk i guess some people think thats alot..but tangs have very fast metabolisms..and little ones need to eat more than bigger ones i think..but some say over feeding can lead to ich..i battled that when i had my hippo just like the 2nd week i had him but just kept feeding and put a neon goby and he was fine..just my experience

I think Blue Hippo Tangs are the biggest meat eaters out of the tangs you will find. Mine have always eaten flake and frozen foods more than any dried seaweed I put in the tank. I actually had one that while it was the only tang in the tank, it wouldn't touch seaweed. After I put another tang in the tank that loved the seaweed, then the Hippo joined in and ate it all the time. Currently, I have a Hippo and a small Naso in my tank and I try to feed them a 1/4 sheet of seaweed a day. I buy the nori/sushi wrap from the grocery store as it's much cheaper. They are 1/2 sheets and I cut them in half so as to not leave too much food in the tank all the time. Overall just make sure to feed it a variety of foods, not just seaweed, to keep it fat and happy.
