Would appreciate member's input on feeding my newly acquired Acropora. It's about 4 inches tall with multiple branches. I've got it high in the tank under metal halide. Also, supplements?

Anytime a new coral such as Acropora is introduced into a system, it should be introduced at the lower to mid level in order for it to get used to the new lighting conditions. Over a period of time, you can raise it to the proper level. Different lighting intensity can cause it to bleach, or change color due to drastic change. SPS corals, require Zooplankton as food as well as calcium. You can feed your SPS coral oyster eggs or live artemia eggs (unhatched of course) Phytoplankton is only good for soft corals so still with SPS food. Marc Wiess makes a food for SPS called SPS CORAL GROW.

Alot of people say that a good stedy amount of fish poo is good.
You can also feed rotifers, oyster eegs and for supplements(if its all sps and no zoas) Amno Acids strip nutrients from the water which gives your acros great color, but zoas like nutrients and if striped of them they wont do very wel.
So IMO i think feeding the rotifers and good water changes you can keep sps and zoas with out needing AA's
I used ZOAS as an example because thats what im doing right now,and thats the little knowldge i have
Yeah thanks for the info. How about frequency?
And the mechanics? Shut down all circulation and bathe it, or shut down just the sump return and let it circulate inside the tank with internal pumps?
when i feed i turn off my powerheads, then target feed rotifeast.then i turn on one after about 10 min then turn the other one after another 10mins.i do this 3 times a week in the morning befor the lights come on and then when the lights turn off.
Would Coralvite suffice?
55g with (2) 250w MH electronic ballast w/ Reeflux 12k
SPS reef . 2-Koralia #3's , 30g-ish Sump.
RedSea Berlin Turbo Skimmer, Teco Chiller
Rotifeast is waaaay expensive and doesn't store long. Anything else?
umm it doesnt waste that fast, but if that cant work for you can always feed try feeding frozen rotis and cyclopez.
