Attn Teachers
Do any teachers know if their school or school district have any openings for 8-12 science positions? I am gonna move on from LCRA and im looking in Houston but i love the hill country and I would enjoy it back up there much more. You have no idea how much of the hobby is getting to interact with club members, without being able to go to meetings, fish stores, and trading frags there isnt much to do... I have a probationary cert for life science and 8-12 composite.

At this time of the year, almost all school districts are looking to fill positions. The San Antonio area would be nice, you'd also get around half of the Maast meetings.

I left teaching in Austin a few years back. I would recommend looking in the San Antonio area. A large number of my former colleagues have moved from Austin into this area because of better pay, conditions, cost of living. Or you could apply to the Fire Department, which is what stole me away from teaching (I needed a safer job.).
