    Question Blackcap being attacked

I just added a blackcap basslet to my reef tank, and my tangs have been harassing it like crazy. Is this normal? Tangs are goldrim, hippo, and naso.

tangs develop tank boss syndrome and no new additions are safe, unless they are larger than the tangs. they should settle down in a couple of days, assuming the black cap survives the hazing

one thing you can do to help is to rescape your rocks, it helps because then everyone has to find new territory to claim. This is what i have to do every time i get a new fish because my vlamingi tang is a mean anus

Thats good that he's eating. Thats the key to getting him through the harrassment. You caught my attention with this thread because a black cap is #1 on my list when I start up my tank in a couple of weeks.
