    A must have for any marine aquarium!

    Why do I need macro-algae?
    Macro-algae specifically Chaetomorpha grows extremely fast when given regular lighting from a common compact florescent bulb that you can find at any hardware store. Moreover, it removes Nitrates and Phosphates from your aquarium as it grows. After adding this product to your aquarium it will significantly reduce nitrates and phosphates.

    Provides a marine nursery for mico/macro organisms to flurish in.
    Chaeto provides shelter for micro and macro marine organisms so they can flourish and in turn end up feeding your reef. Chaeto acts as a breeding nursery for phytoplankton, mysis shrimp, copepods, isopods, amphiopods and many more organisms.

    What equipment do I need to support my Chaeto's growth and success?
    You need;
    • A minimum of 1 - 100watt common compact florescent light bulb.
    • Preferably a refugium or sump connected to your aquarium with a gentle current from your aquarium to the Chaeto.
    • That is it.

    Do I need to add supplements like Iron to my Chaeto?
    Typically no, you do not need to add supplements. If you find significant yellowing then it "may"<---(and I use this sparingly) be that you need to add a little iron to your water. Keep in mind that that if iron promotes the growth of many other undesirable algae. Use iron at your own risk. If you do regular water changes then you should not have a problem with depleted iron.

    * Note: Yellowing chaeto does not necessarily indicate an iron deficiency in your aquarium.
