    Default osmolator

My osmolator stopped working, but I figured out what was wrong. The plastic box that connects the four wires together got wet and corroded. I want to replace it with something else. Will regular crimp on quick-connects work? The type that people use for speakers. That way I can wrap them in electrical tape and plastic.

When you do, cut and strip the wire back 1/2" so you can get un-corroded wire strands. You will get better conductivity that way.

Same thiing happened to me. You can use regular wire nuts, crimp-on, etc. As long as there's a connection, your good to go.

Use a quality shrink wrap instead of black electricians tape.

Are you talking about that heat shrink stuff? Yes, that will look a whole lot better than tape, and it's a better barrier against moisture. Good idea!

Altex is the best place for heat shrink. There is one off 281 and another off 35N

Yes Altex is a great place for heat shrink. For the same price that Radio Shack sells their heat shrink you get a few feet of it Altex vs a small baggie with a few random sizes.
