How long do you run your MHs?
Curious how long most of you run your MHs. I have an aquapod 24gal and that is my only real source of light. The LEDs don't allow for much viewing. The light is a 75HQI. I have run it as much as 12hrs a day but am slowly cutting back due to some algea growth.

I run mine for about 8 hours. I also have the actinics running a longer cycle.

I run my 250w MH at 6 hours but will increase it to 7 soon.

12 hours for my mh and 9 for my T5s. I only have one 250 over my 75 and it's right in the middle, so in the early morning and late night it's the only light on, looks nice I think.

9 Hours a day. 4pm to 1am.... Hey, I'm a night owl. Besides, most of these fish came from the other side of the globe anyway.

9 here as well. 1:30pm to 10:30pm. I too am a night owl, but I have to compromise with the wife and kid a little!!

Big tank, MH for 6 hours (12-6pm) and T5s for 12 hours (8am-10pm)
Small tank, small viper MH 12 hours (10am to 10pm)

8hrs for me!!! May increase it to 10 just because it's the only light I'm using at the moment!!

For all of you that have them on for 8 hours or longer how long do the bulbs last? Do the double ended last longer than the mongul or vise versa?
