We strongly recommended that you recharge your aquarium's sand bed every 6 months with this kit. It ensures you have diversity among your preexisting organisms and adds new organisms to your aquarium's sand bed.

Great for new aquarium systems where you don't want to wait months for your aquarium to cycle. Apply the recharge kit over a 4 day period and seed your sand bed with precious bio-filtering bacteria and microorganisms the way they're found in the real oceanic environment.

The Kit Contains the Following:

• Dactylopodola baltica - Body reaches a length of (~0.3 mm), with a well-defined head, paired eyespots, and a bifid posterior. These microscopic worms eat diatoms, decaying biomass and detritus.

• Gnathostomulida (jaw worms) - They have translucent bilaterally symmetrical bodies with toothed jaws near their ventral mouths. Jaw worms feed on fungi, bacteria, and protoctists among grains of sea sand. They can be found in shallow oceans down to a depth of several hundred meters throughout the world.

In several weeks you will notice adult worms in your sand bed, as shown by the yellow arrows.

• Isopoda sp. (Isopod) Eggs - small ant-looking crustaceans 3-5mm in length and fairly translucent. These ant-like creatures often hitch-hike a ride on live rock. They survive by eating detritus.

• Amphipods (Sand Flea) Eggs - Looks like a 2-6mm flea. Amphipods are nocturnal scavengers. They eat almost any food scraps and detritus. During spawning the nauplii make for a nutritious food source for coral and mandarin fish.

• Copepods Eggs - Resembles a 1mm-2mm flea which bottom feeds on algae and detritus. Great food source for coral and mandarin fish.

• 5 Seasoned Bio-Balls - The bio-balls come seasoned with beneficial bacteria. When added to your existing system the bacteria energize your existing bio-filter with new bio-diversity. Shipped wet, chilled and sealed in an air tight plastic container.
