It was the initial spike of high temp after being so stable for two years. If your corals are used to a small swing and Higher temps then you won't see a problem.
Now to the latest issue, while dealing with the heat issue I didn't know that my alk was spiking at 12.5 dkh and at the same time all teh co2 out of my 40# bottle was leaking into the fish room..High alk+high heat+lots of co2 released into air = nuked corals,,, most tips are fried. some corals are gonners. large birdsnest started to STN. it is now a small birdsnest.. lots of work later and now just waiting to see if i fixed it soon enough
