Folks have had some issues with noise and reduced foam production (less air), you also change the effective skimmer depth so keep that in mind also. Have you went through the "checklist" yet...replace the airline tubing, ensure the reducer is flush, checked the mesh(if restart or noise issue) and ensure the venturi is not pushed in too far(should only be pushed in 2mm-3mm). Not sure the size of your tank but you will not have a problem downsizing to the MSX-200, here is what they are specing these at on RC..first number is for a heavily stocked.
