Took some parameters yesterday morning. PH was 8.0 at 8am, Phosphates were at 0, and my Calcium was at 500. Is that ok? I stopped dosing the B-Ionic part 2 for a couple of days. I will test again and then start dosing accordingly.
Thanks--Joe

It depends on what you have in the tank thats actualy using up the calcium. 500 is on the high side but not ridiculous.
you want 400-450. that's the good level. 500 is a bit high, it will lower if you have some sps or them other calcium sucking corals. i have also overdosed on my calcium once and it was 520... i juststoped dosing for a week then it was back to normal

That's not too high. Have you tested Alk yet? It'll probably be a little low since Ca is above 450ppm.
Have you noticed a slow down in calcification, ie. coraline algea or corals? That's where you'll see problems if your Ca levels are too high over a period of time.

My alk has always been on the low end, but my Calcium has always stayed at around 460. I have a slimer, and 2 caps as far as sps go, and they look fine. And yes I the Coraline has slowed, but still looks ok. I am going to continue to dose the part 1 of B-Ionic for ALK

I'm not an expert, but that's been my experience w/high calcium levels and low alk readings.
A few months back I noticed that growth in my tank had slowed waaayyyyyyyy down. I tested Ca and it was above 550ppm and Alk was around 5dKH! Coraline and coral growth picked back up once I got Alk up and Ca down.
Sounds like your on top of things. Good luck to you.
