twist the little screwdriver, release, twist, release. See if that helps. I have a Milwaukee, and that's what I had to do.

Got hold of the guy at Pinpoint, he says probe is bad, "damaged in shipping." I do not see how, first its in bubble wrap, then cardboard box, then peanuts, then shipping box. New probe arrives next friday.

Was hoping to have Calcium Reactor set up last night. Oh well, best laid plans . . .

Can anyone recommend a pH controller. This American Marine Pinpoint is just junk. I ask the guy if it could be the controller itself and was assured it was "Bulletproof" and had to be the probe. Well new probe arrive today, and still the same problem. No matter which way to turn the adjustment screw it will not go down below 9.2, and the 10 solution will not go down below 12.

i did it when i got it and it worked fine, as stated earlier:

take the rubber cap off of the probe, rinse under lukewarm tapwater

open solution #7, put probe in and then move the screw until it goes to 7.
    rinse in lukewarm water
next, take out the #10 fluid, put the probe in that and set it until it reaches 10

keep doing this until you can get it as close as possible

btw, i also mentioned earlier that equipment can interfere with the readings when you get it setup. if you have it too close to metal halide ballasts and all of that, youll need to move it away

it has two screws, you use the #7 fluid for the 7 which has the screw next to it

i used fluid #10 instead of #4 and used the screw next to 10,4 for that. is that what youre doing?

I have used the "CALIB" screw for the 7 and the "Slope" for the 10
