    Default Schnoodle needs a home!

This little girl showed up on my doorstep about a week ago, seems that we attract all the strays around here. I have tried every way possible to find her owner but so far no luck. Here is the info I have on her so far:

The dog is around 10 months old, about 20 lbs, extremely energetic, female, pretty sure she isn't spayed (she wasn't looked at by the vet, just vet techs who weren't 100% sure), potty trained, knows how to sit lay and stay, looks like a mix between a schnauzer and a poodle, doesn't shed, doesn't mind cats, loves our dogs and any other dogs she has met so far, just doesnt like to share food but it could be because she has been a stray and had to fight for food. She has nipped at me a couple times (typical schnauzer) when I was picking her up, nothing serious, never bit down but it still might scare kids-afterwards she licked my hand. Other than that, she is the sweetest dog, loves attention, is great on car rides, LOVES the lake. She went kayaking with our 2 other dogs and if someone else took the kayak out without her she got jealous and followed us. She tried to swim out to the kayak a couple times but she isn't the best swimmer so I jumped in after her, we eventually tied her up, she will need a life jacket! When she was on the kayak she was the most content dog, and at shore she would chase and bite the incoming wake.

So my ideal home for her would be a house that if they have children- they understand how to be gentle with dogs. I don't think she would ever bite anyone but I know schnauzers can be mouthy. But she would love kids to play with. She needs to be an indoor dog, will have to be groomed regularly, and I would like her to go with someone that does make an occasional trip to the river or lake since she loved it so much. Buuuuut anyone who can give her a good home would be great. I do have my number out to several places so just in case you take her and a week later I get a phone call from her owner, I would like her to go back to her original owners since if it was my dog I would want her back even if she had a new home. I know it seems like I ask for a lot in a home but she is a great dog and I wish I could keep her, I just want to make sure she gets a good home.

I live in Selma. My number is 2108620480. I am off Monday so anyone feel free to call me to come see her or bring your dogs over to have them meet. I can give you directions when you call or meet you somewhere.
