Default How long do I wait for my protein skimmer to start bubbling?

Isn't my protein skimmer going to make bubbles? I plugged a pump into the front of it and it is putting out water, there is a tornado in the inside, but no bubbles. and nothing is going into the top cup. Is this normal? Shoud I let it run for a while?

What model skimmer is it? You may not have the air input set correctly.

    Berlin tripple p*****

There is a tube on the bottom. I have pump here pushing water, water flowing out the top two.

I should have the pump on one of the top two?

There are two small nipples, looks like I could put air tubes ther but they are on the way out of the skimmer. am I running this thing backwards?

It'll take awhile for it to break in. Once you have the skimmer dialed in, make sure you clean the collection cup and neck often to make sure it works optimally.
