parameters
i hear alot about a tanks parameters and in particular calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium and i've been referred to several calculators for achieving the desired levels of those 3 areas of your tank, the big problem was finding my currant levels.
i just bought an aquacontroller 3 after setting it up i get this
temp: 77.4
ph: 7.79
ORP: 484mv
1st i don't know if these are even correct, but where are the levels of cal, alk, mag? is the AC3 the wrong device??
does ph, orp tell me anything about cal, alk, mag?
thanks, joel

No,, you have to buy test kits and test individually for these elements.. I will tell you that your ph is borderline too low.. IMO you never want to go below 7.8.. sounds like you may not be doing water changes

Did you use calibration solution for the pH and ORP probes. That will help you make sure the values are correct.
