You guys are awesome. Those look really nice!
Coolest pond I ever did was very small, for my grand parents. It was on a slope, and the base where the actual pond was flat. I took several bird baths and placed them level into the grade of the backyard and ran concrete inbetween them, and they all flowed down into the pond. It was a very cool idea, and it wasn't hard to do there in CO. I couldn't imagine breaking all of that rock in the ground here to accomplish what you guys/gals have done. Kudos...

I used the Lowes filter, but it got dirty easily. If it is the pressurized filter then it actually works in reverse. The dirty water goes to the bioballs first then through the sponge. That leaves sludge all around the bioballs. I switched to the laguna brand pressure filter with the U.V.
I don't know why the fish would be missing scales. Maybe it rubbed hard against something.

do you guys add salt to your ponds? i was checking out a site that has something like refractometer but its digital and for ponds
