    Default ASM Skimmer

long story short I bought something i didn't need

not sure what to do with it now

its an ASM G1 with a sedra 3500

so for all of you that actually know what that means should i hang on to it?

i bought a euro for my large tank and my other tanks are sump free...

i MIGHT be able to convert one of my tanks to have a sump area but not really anything else..though i guess i could run my hang on in the bottom...but its only 40 gallon and i would have to buy a return pump right?

i'm gonna make sure it works well

it was supposed to be used only six months and looks clean

would holding onto it for emergencies be pointless?...kind of like keeping an extra washing machine?

    catch-22

get rid of it and yours will die the next day

keep it and yours may never die

i tend to err on the side of caution, i would keep it unless you need the cash

I would keep it, you may want to set up another tank and that skimmer is really good from what I have read.

what kind of euroreef are you using? actually, why not put both skimmers in the sump?? Man, that would be one clean tank.

I have the 135 but if i put in my ASM i would have to put it into the return area...wouldn't that mean micro bubbles?

I had an ASM G-2 on a 135 gallon tank and simply loved the skimmer....just a cheaper version of that Euro-reef you are running. They work well...I would also hold onto it...

Don't overskim, keep it for later... If you get in a pinch, sell it.
