That was what I was kind of wondering myself. I figured he should test it without the extension and then with it to compare readings. You could probably email the manufacturer, but they will probably want to sell you their extension cable. Kind of like we've been trying to get two Belkin switchers to communicate to each other and instead of telling us the wiring diagram so we can make or buy the cable locally, they only want to sell us their $100 cable!
