I have a problem. It's time I just get it out there and see what happens....I have a feeding problem. Mix up some garlicky mysis, hand me a small squirter and a pair of feeding tongs and it's on!
I'm hand feeding a bunch of stuff in my tank and I don't know if this is a bad thing or not. So of course I hand feed BTA and Dendraphlia, and occasionally the fungiia. But now, many other creatures are opening wide at feeding time. So, I see a mouth, I feed it
The Duncans love individual polyp feedings, when hungry, the kryptonite candy cane will reach out and open up, in goes some mysis. I though I saw my tort eat a small mysis tonight. My larger ricordia was reaching forward off the rock mouth open, so I fed her a shrimp too. Then at the end feeding I saw my little prism favia frag reaching out and saying "Ahhhh"To my surprise he finished a nice large mysis.
Is this normal and just not talked about very much. I thought many of these corals were filter feeders or maybe opportunistic feeders. I'm blown away that they know when feeding time arrives and they are reading to beg for food
So, am I becoming some crazy feeding lady?![]()
