    Question phosphate 'n silicate?

    got my test kit in for phosphate,iodide/iodine,and silicate. my phosphate is about .3 is that ok?silicate is under 1. which i rek'n that's good? and i couldnt figure how to do the iodide/iodine test. very confusing....

    thanks for that it helped. but it said alkalinity should b 200, and mines 300 on my test kit and it says its good?is that true?

    Water changes will bring that back down to normal.

    Since 200ppm is equal to 11 dKH, 300ppm is roughly at or above 16 dKH. You will need to test the calcuim more frequently or reduce the Alk to the suggested levels; 7-11 dKH.
