Default Tunze Osmolator 3155 (topoff unit)

    linky

Anyone have any experience with this product? It's a bit pricey, but with no moving parts I can see it possibly being more reliable than float valves.

It is literally one of the best things I've ever bought in this hobby. I can't say enough good things about it.

Any idea if AquaTek carries them regularly and the price? I wouldn't mind taking the drive up there this weekend if I can get it for something relatively comparable to online pricing.

Nevermind, it took 3 calls to AquaTek but I finally got someone to answer.

Hey Bill, what type of issues did you have with yours?

I'm not planning to pick one up til probably the end of the month... still plenty of time to decide. ;)

Power supply failure, loose, poorly connected power supply connection (on the controller board), pump failure, eye get's covered with film and has to be soaked in vinegar every couple of weeks, and fininally, a complete failure. Unit was less than 2 years old.

By the looks of it it has the same type of float switches as the top-off.com ones andthey are alot cheaper.
