Default PhytoFeast: how do I feed this?

Today I bought a flame scallop and 3 very tiny mushrooms, and was given this Phyto Feast to feed them. I know I need to feed this every day, but do I really need to put 50-500 drops a day in my tank like the directions say? I have a 55 gallon tank that has about 20 extra gallons circulating between it and the sump. And the directions say 1-5 drops per gallon per day. So, can I feed my two tiny filter feeders without dosing the entire tank? It just seems like that is a lot to put in for such small mushrooms and one half-dollar sized scallop.

i feed my 30g 1-2 drops every other day

the filter feeders will also be fed from your normal food (whatever it is you feed, brine, mysis, etc . . . )

Well, I don't feed anything else to my tank except ghost shrimp to my lionfish. I was told I needed to feed it everyday, and was wondering if I need to feed it directly or if I need to just put some of it in the water.

Thanks for your reply! It makes the proportions make more sense. Anyone else feed this?

Feed the lion a mixture of frozen and ghost occasionaly so it get all the nutrients it needs. Then the scallops will get additional food. Just use a few drops either way but try to squirt them neer filter feeders.

Awesome, thanks! I have frozen brine shrimp that I used to feed my clowns (now in another home). Will the lionfish eat this? I'm talking about the cubes that break up into smaller bits. I know the scallop and all my snails will eat it, so maybe I will put a cube in there once a week or something.

All the advice is greatly appreciated!! We are already enjoying the scallop, I didn't expect him to move as much as he does!
