    Default Playoffs!!! Predictions?

Is anyone getting excited for next weekend and the NBA playoffs? Any bracket predictions? Here's the seedings as they stand right now:
    Western
    1) Lakers
    2) New Orleans
    3) Houston
    4) Utah
    5) SA
    6) Phoenix
    7) Dallas
    8) Denver

    Eastern
    1) Boston
    2) Detroit
    3) Orlando
    4) Cleveland
    5) Washinton DC
    6) Toronto
    7) Philly
    8) Atlanta
    Here's my predictions:
Spurs: Anyone getting the feeling you had in 2000-02, 04, and 06? If the Western standings hold (which they won't), I can see the Spurs squeeking past Utah, but ultimately losing to the Lakers in the 2nd round in 6 games.
Dallas: Loses to NO in the first round. Ha ha Cuban. Karma's a b****!
    Western Conf Champs: New Orleans
Eastern Conf Champs: Detroit, KG never showed me anything in the playoffs, so Boston won't make it to the finals.
    NBA Champs: Detroit

Only a few games left and those standings for the West will change again probably every night until the last whistle blows. It's a really strange year. While I'm a long time Spurs fan, I just don't see them getting it done this year. They are missing their spark and instead of bringing in some younger guys with new energy, they have loaded the team even heavier with bench warmers that have failed to make any kind of consistant impact for the team. Lakers look good, but I think some of the other teams have turned it up a bit here at the end of the season so it could be anyone of the Western teams to come out on top.

For the East, just let Detroit and Boston battle it out. The other teams are just there to kill time until it's time for the championship series to start.

I think Utah, Dallas, Phoenix, and LA will all exit the first round although SA is going to have an extremely tough time with Utah, though I think they'll take just about anyone else. Not sure about the East as I don't bother to follow much of what they do.

Yeah, the east is pretty much a 2 horse race, but the West is really fun to watch this season.

As much as I love my Spurs...they're struggling especially offensively - I really haven't lost all hope YET! but it just doesn't "feel" good. It really doesn't matter what the seedings are gonna end of being in the West....1 thru 8 beats just about ALL in the East. I personally don't think Boston (KG) can hold up & take a 7 game series against most of the Western teams - if not all of them. Even New Orleans is struggling a bit...LA & Utah seem very strong lately. Detroit would not surprise me if they beat Boston either...

My prediction is still Spurs - only cause they're my boys...! But I'm feelin' it....if Spurs don't straighten up...I see either LA or Utah vs. Detroit. Detroit is tough....still. Of course my dream would be Spurs vs Boston. KG always steps it up against Duncan...he has wanted to beat him sooooo bad these past years. Either way - it's gonna be a rollercoaster of a ride this year. Funny how Phoenix, LA & Dallas are so obsessed in building a team just to beat the Spurs...just my thoughts....so far.

MVP - anyone other than Kobe - I have no respect for him. Maybe Chris Paul if NO keeps their footing.

The East is almost always garbage. I am still waiting for the day when the finals comes down to the two teams that are the best. No more West vs East. If the East wants titles again, they need to build better teams.
