We'll be moving back to Austin next year, so I'll definitely be stealing some of your ideas for my next tank. Of course I'll give credit where credit's due. Thanks again GreenMako for taking the time to respond to my ???'s.
no problem
man, that is one hell of a reactor.
I started looking at those Geo's recently. Are the Deltec's that much more efficient and put together better to justify the price of us mere mortals without enourmous tanks?
The Deltec Calcium reactors are not that much more than a lot of the reactors I was looking at. I ran an MRC Dual chamber before I bought my first Deltec and there was only a $50 difference but I didn't even think to price Deltec b/c I thought they would be too high priced.
I think Geo's are very nice calcium reactors but I do believe a Deltec will out perform his normal units. I have seen a few custom reactors Geo made that where huge and would do very well but I'm sure they cost just as much as a Deltec if not more lol.
I don't know what size tank you have but also think about if your going to get a larger tank in the future when you think about equipment upgrades.
I haven't seen another fluidized calcium reactor on the market there may be one but I don't know of one. I think the fluidized helps a ton as you don't get CO2 traps in the media b/c of air pockets. The Deltec media can get super low in ph before it completely melts unlike Arm or others that I tried which also helps out if you mess up or you need to run your ph in your reactor low to keep up with the demand of the tank.
