    Default eye problems

    I just bought a dwarf puffer on tuesday at a lfs and i woke up today to fine him with one eye all cloudy and its poofy. Whay is wrong or what can i do and i dont have a quarintine tank either. Any Suggestions?

    was he in freshwater, brackish, or marine conditions when you bought him? and what did you put him into?
    What kind of "dwarf puffer" is he? (South American, Leopard, Figure 8, etc.)

    he is a figure 8 he is marine looked great when i got him and all my other fish are doing great

    what's the salinity in your tank and how big is he? Those guys should be in brackish conditions when they're younger, and need slow acclimation to tolerate salinity changes.
    I've got a leopard who was in full marine (and very drab) when someone traded him in. I bought it and VERY slowly brought him down to practically fresh conditions since he was still small but now he's in 1.009 salinity water, using Seachem Brackish and Livebearer salt and a bit of saltwater from my reef tank Mixed with di. He's really bright green now, and eats a lot! They're really cool fish, he follows people around (as much as he can) like a puppy dog.
