Yes sir. When you lose power, the only goal should be just to get by until the power returns. No lights, chiller, protien skimmer, calcium reactor, & no closed loop pumps. Your ultimate goal is to keep the oxygen level up by keeping the water turned. I would put at least a 1500va UPS on that return pump. They are about $250 at Altex for a Tripplite which is one of the better brands. Plug the UPS between your pump and surge protector\controller. HTH
