400w de bulbs, anyone have one?? older ok

Mine isnt coming on. I dont know if its the ballast or the bulb. If its the ballast, I dont want to buy another one. I would rather go down to a 250. If you have a 400w de bulb, please let me know. I can bring my bulb to you as well to see it it works. I just need to find out if its the bulb or the ballast. Thanks, Jill

I checked, and I have one you can have, as I no longer use DE bulbs. But, I realize I"m a long ways away...

Hum... you are a long ways off. Where are you in San Antonio? I go to school in san marcos and maybe can go get it on monday between my lunch class and night class. I have a six hour block of time open. If that is ok, let me know. I have to be back for class at 6:30 in san marcos.

I really just want to go to SE bulbs too... LOL Lower cost and more options.

Let me see what we can do. My neighbor, who works for me, has a daughter at Texas State. She might be here this weekend, and I could send the bulb up with her. If that doesn't work, I have to go to Burnet on Monday, and she'll be here all day.

Looks like Kim's not coming down this weekend. We are headed up to Canyon Lake this afternoon to friends for the afternoon/early evening (nope! not at the coast this weekend!). If its the ballast, I will post my question about changing the reefstar from 400w to 250w de. I am not buying another 400W ballast!! I can give the bulb back then, or wait for someone else to need one like in this situation, and pass it on.
