    Default this is what i came up with (computer)

    i searched through newegg.com looking for the best parts and this is what i found. it should roughly cost about 680 which is a little more then what i wanted to spend so if you see ways that i could make some cost cuts then please feel free to let me know.

    scrap the hard drive and get one with SATA, if you get two, you can mirror them in case one drive should fail. You don't need a soundcard, it comes with one. The stock fan that comes with your AMD should be fine as well, so I would scrap that fan too. The memory needs to be DDR2 1066 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145033

    wow. for 680, i could get you a DECENT core2duo laptop.

    i picked up an inspiron e1505, 2gigs ram, 256meg video card, 80gig SATA hard drive, 8x DVD burner locally for 450$

    oh, the processor speed is 2.20ghz x 2 also

    i can probably get you one if youre interested...
