    Default Wrigglers! (freshwater)

    *freaks out*

My discus finally decided this time around that they wouldn't eat their eggs. So, wow! I'm quickly researching what I'm supposed to be doing and I'm worried because the tank is definitely not a breeder tank....it's a 140g community tank of sorts. I never intended to breed discus and the couple paired up on their own.

    So far I've:

    - Shut off UV sterilizer & pump (to avoid sucking the little guys up and sterilizing them)
    - Turned down the flow on my filter
    - And I'm trying not to stare at them every 2 minutes and freak the parents out

Right now they are at the "wrigglers stuck to the breeding rock" stage, not yet free swimming.

sweet! You gotta leave the babies with the parents for the first few weeks because they need to feed off their slime coat. Afterwards, try to pull them to a separate grow out tank and feed them 3 times a day (twice with crushed spirulina and once with rotifers)
    Good luck! That's really exciting
