    i just got some grape calurpa for my refugium. I just realized my light doesnt work. I heard you can just get one of those alluminum clip on lights from like home depot
    . is this true?

    The new spot light CF's with built in reflectors are much nicer and work really well. I switched them a couple weeks ago and my algae has really taken off!!!
    Is Reef Madness Catchy???

    Yes they sell them at home depot. Buy a clamp light ($5) and buy one of these type of bulbs (you won't need the external reflector from the clamp light) They are CF light's with Built in reflectors. I bought this brand

    If you look on the back of the package the kelvin rating is located near the top. I am using a 2700K currently. I think a 5700K is available but you may have to special order it!!!

    is 2700k enough to grow grape calerpa i have maybe 1 gallon of grape.

    I have caulerpa in my fuge and it overtook the chaeto with this light, Homed depot carries the 2700K and the 6500K, but I think you have to special order the 5700K.
