Transporting Livestock
Hi everyone,
I'm going to the swap tomorrow and wanted to bounce an idea off of you guys. I will be driving back and forth from Corpus and plan on buying some frags. I have successfully transported fish, many many times, over long distances/times in an aerated bait bucket. I am planning on using this same method with the frags. Does anyone have any input/methods that might be better than what I'm planning on doing?
I'm figuring that the frags will have been out of their tanks for quite a stretch of time considering transportation from the original owners house to the swap, then 3 hours at the swap, then 2.5 hrs home.
Also, should I bring my own water to transport them in? I'm not sure what is generally supplied when you get a frag. I'm thinking I would have to acclimate them if I brought my own water.
Thanks

i would imagine most people will bring the frags in plastic bags or small tupperware/gladware type containers
seems to me like your plan of attack is better than anything ive done in the past or would likely do for saturday and ive had no catastrophes *yet*
i think you will be more than fine, temp in this area is supposed to be mid 70s which should be near ideal for transporting the frags
