    Default Lighting Drama

    Uggggh....

We'll I ordered my lights in what I thought was enough time to have them over the tank before the frag swap.... apparently the shipment was a little bit delayed. FedEx is saying that the light will be at my house on the 11th...this Tuesday. I'm thinking that Monday might be possible though.

My question is...Can I still get frags at the swap? Will they be OK for a couple/few days with crappy lights over them? I hope so.

Make sure that when you DO get the lights that you do not overexpose the corals to that light! Start with the corals very close to the sandbed and work your way up with them over several days, if not weeks. If not, they will bleach and die. Each coral will have a spot that it likes, and it will reflect in the growth, polyp extension, and coloration of the coral. I would also start with a few hours less light for the first three days.

Glad to hear that it's OK to pick up some corals. I look forward to seeing y'all there.
