Default attaching live rock for aquascaping?

hey everyone, i want to have a safe way of attaching my live rock in my 75 so they wont fall and break through the bottom. my tank is going to be barebottom

i was wondering where to either get acrylic rods and how large to drill the hole or what type of glue can i use? i heard someone mention gorilla glue on this board; would i be able to break off the rock in the future if i ever needed to remove some pieces?

I have recently started changing my aquascape. I used a 5/16th masonry bit and I used fiberglass rods. I bought both from Lowes. I am not sure about the gluing but I have some epoxy putty that I have used.

Learned this tip from blueboy... you can also just use pieces of plastic coat hangers, instead of the fiberglass rods.

They make nylon screws that you can drill a pilot then use the screws to hold the structure together. Have you ever thought about using starboard on a bare bottom or even just a sheet of lexan looks clean and protects the glass.

i was thinking of starboard but i have a plastic center brace that id have to cut in order to add the starboard

hey kristy, that sounds like a good idea; i think i have some around the house.

how much do the fiberglass rods cost and in what section could i find them?

I found the fiberglass rod by where they sell the "For Sale" signs. I believe they were $1.99 each for a 3' or 4' length. I chose them rather than the hangers because the plastic hangers I have are not exactly round. I thought being round would make a better fit.
