    Question Salifert Testing My Water

did some testing on my water when mixed (before) entering the tank i my salinity is at 24 and my calcium readings are really low like 360 and my alk is reading way too high off the chart at 16 dkh and my PH is saying my water is 7.8 I am using red sea pro coral with RO water from a local petstore wondering why are they off so far i am using salifert cal and alk kits and AP PH test kit and a refractometer. Could the ro water be bad? or maybe the salt? Someone told me the RO water could not be filtered right maybe bad filters

It's likely that the alk measurement is wrong. Try measuring the alk in your tank with the same kit and see if you come up with a sensible result. It's not uncommon for freshly mixed saltwater to have a low ph; I wouldn't worry too much about that. Try running an airstone or a powerhead with an air pump attached to the venturi in your tub of new water for a day and see if the ph comes up.
